March Madness is upon us and if you haven’t yet filled out your bracket, you are in luck! We’ve filled out ours based on which team’s Facebook page has the most Likes. The one team that doesn’t have an overall athletics Facebook page is the Michigan Wolverines. So for the boys in blue, we went with their basketball Facebook page. Had we used their football Facebook page, the team would have advanced to the Final Four!*

Here are some other observations:

    • The annual 12 seed over 5 seed upset is intact as #12 VCU knocks off #5 Wichita St.
    • #11 Texas, who loses to eventual-champion Ohio State in the Sweet 16, would have advanced to the Final Four in any other region
    • The first #1 seed to lose? #1 Syracuse to #8 Wisconsin in the Sweet 16. (With Fab Melo out for the tourney, this might be a reality!)
    • No Mid-Majors made the Sweet 16. Here’s the breakdown by conference:
  • Big Ten: 5
  • ACC//Big 12/Big East: 3
  • SEC: 2

We’ve got Ohio State winning it all.

Who do you have winning it in your bracket?

*Full Disclosure: The author of this blog post is originally from Ohio, so he was happy to see the Wolverines get bounced in the Sweet 16.
