In case you missed it, we’re tracking the social growth of this year’s Oscar nominees for Best Picture. Keep up with the blog to stay updated on weekly developments as we countdown to the big night!
Our current data shows a strong lead in growth for Lion. This week, the film gained around 25-35% growth across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  On YouTube however, Lion suffered a bit of an upset as La La Land took the lead in view count growth at 21% by and Moonlight walked away with the most comment growth at 9%.

While Lion has had a good week in the box office and social media, Hidden Figures stole the lead for largest revenue growth. Despite a fairly quiet performance on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, Hidden Figures just edged out Lion for the win. Meanwhile, La La Land has cemented it’s second place status across a majority of social platforms and the box office. But can La La land dance its way into the top spot next week?
