Who do you trust to tell you about new music? You might read music blogs or flip through new releases on iTunes or Spotify, but recommendations from friends probably have the most influence on your listening choices. We wanted to make it easy for your fans to tell their friends about the music they love – yours!

Using the damntheradio audio player makes sharing your songs across social networks easy. If your songs are already on your Facebook page, you’ll automatically have “Share” buttons next to each track. If not, sign up for a free Soundcloud account to get started. (No damntheradio page yet? That’s free too. Get one here.)

When fans click share, the track will be posted to the fan’s wall so their friends can stream the music directly off the Facebook newsfeed.

Then, your newly converted fan has the option to further share the player across social networks and email.

The shared player includes a link back to your Fan Page, as well. You didn’t think we were going to make it hard for your new friend-to-fan (frand?) to “like” your page, did you?

Do you have songs set up on your damntheradio audio player? Let us know and you could see your tracks shared to our friends, fans, and followers as our artist of the day. Email us at blog(at)FanBridge.com with a link to your Facebook Fan page.

One minor caveat I have about damntheradio is:

Does the widget extract the play count from Soundcloud? Because I tried to use the free version on my Fan Page and it showed all tracks had 0 plays (in Soundcloud, one of the tracks has more than 5,000+)

    Thanks.

Right now, the play count is unique to your damntheradio tab so you can see how many plays you're specifically getting on Facebook. If you click “Show Additional Options” on the Audio module, you can turn off the play count if you want to wait until those plays grow a little more before sharing them. Definitely going to pass this along to our tech and product people as a request, though!
