Critically acclaimed Americana folk/pop duo Martha’s Trouble know what its like to do things on their own. The group has self-released ten albums over twelve years, including “Forget October”. Martha’s Trouble songs have been featured in TV shows and movies, on multiple radio stations, and in publications like USA Today. Their newest release, Anchor Tattoo, earned a review in Billboard. Rob from Martha’s Trouble credits FanBridge for helping them manage the release and track media contacts and fans.
We have been using FanBridge almost daily…This has made the release a huge success. I couldn’t imagine doing a release campaign without FanBridge. FanBridge has been a key asset in keeping our fans and business contacts organized. We have used several other email platforms and have found FanBridge to be far superior. It’s ease of use, in our opinion, is second to none.
Martha’s Trouble maintains active Twitter and Facebook accounts but looks to FanBridge analytics to really understand their fans.
The tool we like the most is the analytics. We are able to see who and who hasn’t opened our campaign. What part of the campaign has been most interesting. This is a huge tool in knowing how successful the campaign has been.
By segmenting and studying their fans’ behaviors, the duo is able to target different fan and press groups with appropriate versions of content. A press release might go out to a shortlist of media contacts while an announcement of a house show will go out to the fans who live near the venue. This strategy has earned the group open rates that occasionally reach even 50 and 60%.
Our features are great, but according to Rob, it’s FanBridge customer service that really sets us apart from everyone else.
I have to say too, the customer service at FanBridge is awesome. For example, when our new album came out, we needed to distribute a unique download code to over hundred of our Kickstarter backers who had funded the recording budget. FanBridge took those names and emails and created simple way for us to create a campaign specifically for this group that would distribute the unique download code to each email address. FanBridge had this imported and ready to go in 24hrs!
