Okay, so you’ve just finished customizing your Facebook Fan Page with damntheradio. Now what? How about a little trick that will help drive more traffic to your new page (as well as expand its possible uses): change the tab name! It’s really easy to do and you’ll be surprised how a little customization will dramatically improve its performance.
Once you’ve published your page to Facebook, go to your Fan Page and click on either the “Edit Info” link below the page name OR the grey “Edit Page” button in the top right corner (They’ll take you to the same place).

Then, click on the “Apps” tab on the left-hand side, scroll down to the FanBridge Fan Page Creator and click “Edit Settings.” Now you can change the tab name to anything your heart desires!

Try using the tab name to draw attention to something of value for fans or potential fans. Maybe you’re offering a free remix EP in exchange for “Liking” the page. In that case, you should call the tab “Remix EP” or “Free Remix EP Download.” Fans will be more inclined to click on the tab if it has some type of obvious value for them.

Renaming the tab is also an incredibly useful trick for non-music users. We have the default name set to “Music,” however this can easily be changed to better fit Film/TV, Sports Teams, Brands, etc. If you’re a small business and use damntheradio to collect email addresses in exchange for a download giveaway (perhaps a coupon for 10% off), try indicating this in the tab name. Try experimenting with different tab names (switching once a month) and see how each performs by checking your Facebook Insights. You can access your Insights by clicking the grey “Edit Page” button and choosing “Insights” in the left-hand column.
