Today is a big day for FanBridge, as we are happy to announce two exciting pieces of news…
Very recently, we completed the acquisition of damntheradio, Inc., an easy-to-use platform for creating media-rich Facebook fan pages that encourage strong fan engagement. In addition to adding the core DTR product to our offering, all three talented damntheradio founders (Johnny Hwin, AJ Magnuson, and Nick Lane-Smith) will be joining the FanBridge team full-time to pursue our joint vision. They will be the foundation of our new San Francisco office (we are hiring!).
Already, the damntheradio product has gained the trust of major brands and bands looking to build their “Facebook strategy,” including Warner Music Group, American Idol, Gatorade, Sony Music, EMI, Tapulous (Tap-Tap Revolution), Linkin Park, and many others. Building on this notable client roster, we are excited as part of our acquisition announcement to launch today a fully self-serve version of the damntheradio product so that every artist and brand, big and small, can start creating better performing Facebook landing pages and campaigns, stimulating high value fan actions such as Likes, email collection, comments, shares, and more.
We are also now officially announcing the close of our $2m Series A financing, further growing the world class team of investors who share our vision for providing artists and brands with an easy-to-use platform for growing and engaging fans audiences on and off the web.
Certainly there is much more ahead in the FanBridge/damntheradio story, and to help us accelerate our aggressive investment in the best talent, technology and initiatives to get us there, we are excited to be expanding our team while benefiting from the insight and support of our seasoned investors including Alex Zubillaga, Chris Fralic (First Round Capital), Founder Collective, 500 Startups, Maurice Werdegar, and Matt Keiser (Grape Arbor VC) in addition to our existing seed investors Jeff Clavier (SoftTech VC), Chris Sacca (LowerCase Capital), Founders Fund and Dave McClure.
With unwavering client service in our blood from day 1, we look forward to measuring the success of these two major announcements according to the extent they help add value to the clients we serve.
